Bob.
Our Mid Monthly Meet venue has closed, so the last Meet took place at The Royal Oak in Gretton. This was liked and could well be the location for the June Meet. Please keep an eye on the C3C forum for any update.

The Region has been quite quiet these months, but members have been out and about supporting various Club events. The Speed Championship was very well supported at the end of May at Prescott: Great competition - quite tight in places! With some amazing cars on display - The Beast of Turin ![]() .And great attendance in the Orchard as seen above. Some members were able to support the Championship round at Epynt, the BBWF and Griff Growl and some will shortly be supporting the competitors at Loton Park on 6th/7th August - great venue. Without a Regional Organiser for C3C, some members have taken the opportunity to join other regions on their events, but hopefully we will get a volunteer for this role and then things should step up a gear. Bob As usual, The TVRCC Speed Championship visits Prescott for one of their 2016 Rounds. Recently this has coincided with a superb Annual Event called La Vie En Bleu - 2 days of competition, with the TVRs competing on the Italian day - Saturday.
Always plenty to see and always supported well by TVRCC Regions. If you would like to attend, all the details regarding tickets are available on our forum. Bob April went well, but as often happens there were two events on the same day - April 10th.
Some members went to Burghley for the TVRCC season opener, but many stayed local and enjoyed a fabulous sunny day at our local Hill Climb venue at Prescott. This was brought to our attention by Phil from the Bristol Region, publicised on our forum, resulting in many TVRs turning up for one of their Breakfast Meetings. I counted 39 TVRs at one point joined by many other Marques - Ferrari, Morgan, Jaguar plus many others. It had been wet until this day, so we couldn't park on the very wet grass making it hard work for the Marshalls to get everyone parked. It has been a bit quiet so far this year, but our traditional first event - Skittles Evening, went very well for our Mid Monthly Meet in March. Well done to Peter for organising this at a new (very good) venue.
Not so many members as usual but still an excellent turn out. Our usual Monthly Meets will continue as usual even though we are still without a Regional Organiser. Next month will see some members travelling to the first TVRCC Event for 2016 - Burghley Horse Power, which takes place on 10th April. Typically these days, this will clash with another event on the same day - Prescott Breakfast Meeting, which will be attended by several TVRs - not just from our Region, and also Morgans and Ferrari. Note: if any member fancies a go at Regional Organiser, please get in touch to discuss - a very rewarding activity. Bob This coming Saturday - 31st October, sees the return of the excellent Stroke Association Supercar Saturday. This is for Charity, where you pay varying amounts for the chance to be taken out in a variety of supercars. Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, Radical....the list goes on. Usually 5 laps per go. Full details here http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/events/display_event.asp?BookingEventID=903 John will be there offering rides in his Ginetta, lets hope it will be drier than last weekend! Last weekend was in fact, the final round of the TVRCC Speed Championship held at Castle Combe in the Bristol Pegasus Sprint. Very wet both for John and Peter: Bob What a great day last Saturday - 26th September. This was the annual Neil Garner/Wilts Region Open Day but this year we had warm sunny weather which made it so much more enjoyable. Saw lots of C3C members and many from other Regions that I haven't seen for a while. Great selection of cars on display and in the visitor parking area - mainly Griffith, Chimaera, Tuscan, Sagaris and Cerbera as you would expect, although other models were there. Very well organised, lots of traders/specialists, and some action to enjoy. The Monthly Meet on the following day was less well attended due to this excellent Event. Bob An excellent day at Shelsley Walsh yesterday - Sunday 20th. Not only 17 TVR competitors present but also a good selection of C3C Members - well done to all that turned up! Some local Competitors Next weekend is a busy one:
Saturday 26th September is Neil Garner's Open Day in conjunction with the TVRCC Wiltshire Region Sunday is our usual End Of Month Breakfast Meet. Hope to see lots of you at one or the other, Bob Our end of month Meet will be on this coming Sunday at The Aviator Restaurant, Staverton Airport.
30th August 09:30 onwards for breakfast. Couple of other good events this Bank Holiday weekend: A big gathering at Blenheim Palace - there will be several TVRs both on the Sunday and the Monday. A Race Meet at Castle Combe on the Monday - Perry should be there in his Tuscan racer. Finally, it is Regional Organiser nomination time. Please, if you would like to consider taking on this role, please get in touch - time is getting short! Bob Last weekend saw the return of the Prescott Revival at our local hill climb. This is a charity event, where members of the public have the opportunity to take their cars up the hill for a nominal sum. Quite a few C3C members were there to enjoy a very pleasant sunny and dry day. A huge variety of cars old and new Our End of Month Meet will, as usual, be at The Aviator, Staverton Airport on 30th August
